Restaurantes Vegetarianos na Cidade do Rio de Janeiro

It´s pretty easy to get veg food in Rio. You have more options than the ones I´ll write you down and I´m sure you´ll get other recommendations by CSers. So far, I´d recommend you these three:

Tempeh - Vegan restaurant located in Downtown Rio. Good variety. http://www.restaurantetempeh.com.br/

Bardanas - Vegetarian also in Downtown. Less variety but very good though, specially for days when you feel like eating ordinary food, not so elaborated. http://bardananatural.blogspot.com/

Vegetariano Social Clube - Located in Leblon and more expensive than the other options, they have some very good dishes. Their "tempeh a portuguesa" is extremely good, so far my favorite vegan dish. http://www.vegetarianosocialclube.com.br/

From all the quotes above, I would recommend especialy some of them: Tempeh Refeitório Orgânico BioCarioca (a new one, but very good) and they have pizzas! Universo Orgânico

Vegetariano Social Clube in Leblon. http://www.vegetarianosocialclube.com.br/ I just want to say that in my opinion the food is AMAZING !! I even followed the recommendation that Bruno said and ordered the "Tempeh a portuguesa" and it is delicious. I also tasted a little bit of what my friend ordered and it was excellent too but I don't remember the name of it. I also tried the Grape with mint juice and the Abacaxi with mint juice. Both totally tasty.

Abriu ontem em Copacabana uma loja de Falafel como as que existem em Israel. Para quem nao conhece Falafel é um bolinho feito 'a base de grao de bico, colocado dentro do pao arabe ( pita ) junto com hummous e vegetais, pode-se temperar com molho de gergilim e pimenta típica. Pittas é o nome da loja, fica na Rua Barata Ribeiro, quase na esquina da Figueiredo Magalhaes. Vou tentar achar o convite da inauguração e coloco aqui mais tarde. Vale conferir, é um fast food vegetariano de excelente qualidade e é BARATO !! O endereço do PITTAS é Barata Ribeiro, 458 - Copacabana.

Celeiro vive cheio, apesar do preço, pois a frequencia é da elite da ZS. Além de vegetariano é também organico!!! Além disso a comida é muito saborosa e interessante. Vale a visita, principalmente se o Gianechine sentar a mesa ao lado, ne?:)
